YouTube to MP4, audio, and the formats you actually receive

The result panel separates the available video and audio choices. Choose video when you want picture and sound together, or an audio option when you only need to listen. If an MP4 or MP3 option is offered, its label identifies that output. The available list depends on the video and the extraction result; every file type is not promised for every link.

Some options need preparation before the final file is ready. Keep the page open while that work finishes, follow the progress indicator, and use the completed download link rather than repeatedly starting the same job.

Choosing between a smaller file and higher resolution

HD and SD keep things simple. Turn on Highest quality for more detail. Every available audio and image stays within reach. Available qualities depend on the source. Exact resolutions are shown with each file.

Larger video files can take longer to prepare and transfer. If a high-resolution version is unavailable, try an available lower resolution. Audio quality also depends on the source, so converting a compressed recording cannot restore detail that was already lost.

Saving on iPhone, Android, Windows, or Mac

Use the same link-and-save flow in your browser on desktop or mobile. On a computer, check the browser’s downloads list or its configured download folder. On a phone, check the download indicator and the Files or file-manager app. A downloaded video may need to be moved into your photo library separately.

If a file opens in a player instead of saving immediately, use the browser’s available save action. Keep enough free storage for the selected file, and avoid closing the page while a file is still being prepared.

When a YouTube link does not resolve

First confirm that the link opens as a public video in an ordinary browser. Private, deleted, restricted, or unavailable videos may not produce downloadable files. A temporary source restriction or rate limit can also interrupt a request. Check the error message, wait when asked, and retry the original video URL rather than an expired result link.

Your successfully resolved links appear in local history, making it easy to revisit a video without relying on an old temporary download address. Saving a file does not give you rights to publish it again: keep your own uploads, permitted material, or appropriately licensed content.
